What is JEE and who conducts it?
JEE (Joint Entrance Examination) is a national-level entrance exam for admission to engineering, architecture, and related courses in India. It is conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Who is eligible to appear for JEE?
Students who have completed or are appearing in their Class 12 exams with Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics are eligible. Age and attempt limits may apply as per NTA rules.
Do I need to appear for JEE even for private or abroad engineering colleges?
Yes, most top private colleges in India accept JEE scores. For abroad universities, JEE is not mandatory, but some may consider it along with SAT/other exams.
What documents are required for JEE application?
You’ll need:
Passport-size photo
Signature scan
Class 10 and 12 certificates (as applicable)
Valid ID proof (Aadhar, Passport, etc.)

Can I edit my JEE application form after submission?
Yes, NTA provides a correction window where you can edit certain details. However, not all fields can be changed, so check instructions carefully.
How many times can I appear for JEE?
JEE Main: Twice a year, and maximum 6 attempts over 3 consecutive years.
JEE Advanced: Maximum 2 attempts in 2 consecutive years.
How do I choose the best engineering college after JEE results?
Consider factors like rank cut-offs, branch preferences, placement records, location, campus facilities, and fee structure before locking choices in counseling.
